Social Media and Global Employees!

You are invited to the May education program of the Houston International HR Roundtable.  Joe Crumly, GPHR and Kimberly Blasingame, PHR, GPHR of American Bureau of Shipping will speak on Social Media and Global Employees.

The presentation will show a real life use of social media tools within a Corporate HR environment. The presentation will specifically show how social medial tools have been beneficial to global employees in the preliminary stages of their international assignment. The presentation will also show some of the risks of not properly managing the use of these tools in an HR environment.

The goal of the presentation is to expand the awareness of the benefits of social media applications used in an Corporate HR function. The pros and cons of the social media applications will be discussed extensively in order to present attendees with a balance view of the benefit and risks of using social media networks within a corporate environment.

This is a timely discussion as a recent study found Facebook twice as popular as Google in the workplace!
